| Second Annual Midsummer Event |
|
For the second year in a row, camp families, alumni, and friends in the Jackson Hole area came together this July to celebrate another terrific summer at TVRC! Hosted at The Q Roadhouse, everyone in attendance had a terrific time swapping memories, sharing laughs, and of course enjoying the delicious BBQ buffet.
At the end of the evening Camp Director Tom Holland (joined by others from the year-round team, seasonal staff, and Board of Directors) emerged in jeans, white t-shirts, and red bandanas to reveal some important news...

"Ready for 75, sir!" they shouted, announcing that the 2013 summer will be Teton Valley Ranch Camp's 75th Anniversary! To celebrate we will host 3 days of events from July 12-14. To learn more about next the festivities, please visit tvrcamp.org/75.
Thank you to all who made this year's summer event such a success, and please join us next year as we celebrate the legacy of camp!

| Neat Things: 5-Year Belt Buckles |
There is a very special group within the TVRC community. A group of people who have made Teton Valley Ranch Camp and its campers an absolute priority in their adult lives. These are the 5-year staff members.
This summer, two people earned their 5-Year Belt Buckles. Lee Catt is a five-year counselor and veteran trip leader who supported his campers from Yearling through Trailblazer years. Gretchen Pitcairn signed on for a year as support staff after her years as a camper, then spent the next four summers as a girls' counselor and as nanny to the Holland's three little girls. Congratulations, Gretchen and Lee! Thank you for your commitment to Teton Valley Ranch Camp.

| Camper Recognition |
Every summer, campers work to improve their riding skills to perform their best during the TVRC Rodeo Season. Through four weeks and five rodeos, campers compete for coveted rodeo points.
This year's Junior and Senior Rodeo Kings were Jack Megrue and Mason Elliott, respectively. This year's Junior and Senior Rodeo Queens were Mary Margaret Grassel and Emalia Eichelberger, respectively. Great riding! |

Another time-honored tradition at TVRC is the election of Mayor and Sherrif at the end of each season. These two campers are elected by their peers to uphold the values of TVRC and represent the campers during a speech to parents at Final Rodeo.
Jasper Schutt and Will Hah were elected as Mayor and Sherrif of Boys' Season. Chelsea Nelson and Caroline Knight were Mayor and Sherrif of Girls' Season.

Discovery Cabin Completed! |
Last year's Annual Appeal sought to raise money for the construction of a new building on the ranch: a permanent home base for our beloved Nature Discovery Program (affectionately referred to as "Disco"). This daily activity teaches campers the importance of environmental stewardship, the wonders of the natural world, and the amazing history of the northwestern Wyoming region. Clearly a program worth supporting!
To facilitate excitement and learning in Discovery, we raised nearly $100,000 to finish this beautiful cabin by the end of the summer. We were able to utilize this amazing space for Girls' Season Trailblazer Vespers (see picture below). What an accomplishment, and thank you so very much to all those who donated to this worthy cause.
