The Management Team
The year round staff at TVRC is a dedicated group of individuals, who on a daily basis devote themselves to providing a fun-filled summer for everyone who takes part in the TVRC experience. Their areas of expertise and talents differ, but their dedication to the education of children is constant.

Carly Platt - Executive Director
Originally hailing from Kalamazoo, Michigan, Carly arrived at TVRC for her first summer in 2004 as a counselor and the Discovery Director. Carly fell in love with the West and returned to the ranch each summer throughout college. She followed her campers through the ranks from Rough Rider to Trailblazer, and spent boys' seasons working in the office as the Parent Coordinator, Office Manager, and finally seasonal Program Director. After graduating with degrees in economics and political science from Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana, she packed her bags and moved to Jackson full-time. In 2007, she joined the year-round team and has worked as the Program Director, Trips Director, and Assistant Director. During this time, Carly embraced the Jackson lifestyle and learned to ski, bought her first mountain bike, and brought home a pup named Sherman. After a brief hiatus during the winter of 2012, Carly is back at TVRC as the Executive Director.
Ryan Combs - Financial Controller
Ryan first came to TVRC in 1997 working as a counselor. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with an economics major and philosophy minor, Ryan joined Merrill Lynch as a private client advisor before the lure of the west drew him back to Jackson Hole. In 2005 Ryan rejoined the TVRC family for the first summer on the new ranch working as trips coordinator. Following that summer, Ryan went to work for Aman Resorts in Jackson, where he worked as Assistant Financial Controller. While there, he assisted in the management of the budget, weekly audits, payroll and was a key player on the team that helped a financially struggling Amangani Resort become an economically sustainable hotel. Ryan enjoys the Jackson HOle lifestyl with his wife Sue and daughter Caitlin.

Jackie Barrett - Program Director
Jackie started off her TVRC career as a Rough Rider in 2001. Jackie grew up in Needham, MA, a town right outside of Boston. She and her brothers grew up coming out west for family vacations and attending TVRC. Jackie went to St. Lawrence University where she majored in Art History and Religion, while also on the women’s squash team. After graduating from St. Lawrence University in 2010, Jackie moved out West to spend the summer at TVRC. Before she knew it the mountains stole her and she moved to Jackson full-time to join the year-round team. Jackie has been the Parent Coordinator, Office Manager, Operations Coordinator and finally the Program Director at TVRC. In Jackson she enjoys skiing, biking and hanging out with her dog Yeti in her spare time in Jackson.

Rob McCary - Trips Director
Rob first arrived to the ranch as a Rough Rider counselor for Boy's Season 2008, and returned as a Trip Leader in later summers. Though never a camper at TVRC, Rob did grow up spending his summers sailing, canoeing, and hiking at a small camp on Lake Placid, in upstate New York. Since his first summer at TVRC, Rob has been a counselor, Trip Leader, Communications Assistant and now the Trips Director. Originally from West Hartford, CT, Rob graduated from Colgate University in the Spring of 2010 with honors in Philosophy, and a minor in Economics. During his four years at Colgate, Rob captained the Men's Squash Team and was an active member in the Sigma Chi fraternity. Since graduating Rob has been living in Jackson, where he enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, rock-climbing, and any other outdoor activity.

Sarah Shea - Development Coordinator
Sarah first came to the ranch as an infirmary assistant in the summer of 2009 and returned in 2010 as a counselor. Sarah's originally a "southern" girl from Madison, Alabama. She attended The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where she majored in public relations and extensively studied Spanish and English. After graduating in December 2011, Sarah lived in Chicago and Nashville, where she worked in public relations. In 2013, the mountains called her back and Sarah packed up her things and headed out West to join the year-round team as an Event Coordinator. Now Sarah is the Development Coordinator. In her free time, Sarah enjoys yoga, running, hiking and spending time with her puppy, Louise.

Alex Razzolini - Operations Coordinator
Alex first arrived at the ranch in 2009 to be a Boy’s Season Rough Rider counselor. Since that time Alex, or as he is more commonly referred to as “Razz”, has been a Van Driver, Trip Leader and most recently, Head of Barn for the summers of 2012 and 2013. Originally from Marilla, New York, a small town outside of Buffalo, Razz graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2010 with a degree in Economics Management. He was also captain of the varsity men’s lacrosse team in 2010. After graduation in 2010, Razz moved to Jackson full time to fulfill his passion for hunting, fly-fishing and snowboarding.

Connor Close - Program Coordinator
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Connor first joined the TVRC community as a Rough Rider in 1999. While attending the University of Richmond, Connor spent his summers working as a Counselor and Trip Leader at TVRC. After graduating with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish, Connor was drawn back to the great outdoors of Jackson Hole, and worked as a rafting guide and hotel guest manager for several seasons. Connor enjoys all that Jackson has to offer and is excited to be back with the TVRC Team as the Program Coordinator.
